Consequences always abound when there is a sustained deficiency of a necessity in life. Lack of humility would simply imply lack of the benefits of humility.

The benefits of humility include: Greatness (Matt.18:4) Exaltation (Lk.14:11, 18:14, Jas.4:10) Revival of heart (Isa.57:15, Prov.22:4); Divine respect (Ps.138:6, Isa.66:2), Wealth (Prov.22:4, Jas.4:6).

It should be noted that at the extreme of lack of humility where pride reigns, the hard core consequences of pride would be inevitable, and these include:- Divine resistance; demotion, shame and destruction (Jas.4:6, Prov.11:2, 16:18, 29:23).
