(Ps. 91:3-16): After the psalmist has made his pledge to dwell in the secret place of the Lord, a number of promises covering every area of his life were made to him. Often, believers quote these promises without any pledge to the Lord. They do not consider the conditions upon which these promises are attached. The result is not having the promises fulfilled. This tend to make God a liar (cons. Rom. 10:2-3).
So, these promises are made to whosoever that dwells in the secret place of the Most High, in other words that stays on his God-given vision. It means that outside this vision (no matter how good a project may sound in the eyes of man (cons. Prov. 14:12; 1Cor. 6:12)), the promises which when put together is safety is not guaranteed.
In conclusion, the secret place of the Most High refers also to is His pavilion, in which God hides His friends from harm (Ps. 27:5; 31:20).
So, staying on your God-given vision or project guarantees your safety and other blessings, just as Nehemiah did, and did not fear the threat of enemy (Neh. 6:1-11).
As a child of God, your safety and other blessings are hinged on this vision. Therefore, do not go away from it. Support it, pray for it, talk about it.
