Text: Matt. 20:29-34
In today’s Charismatic Hour, we want to begin by stating strongly that God is a principled God. Being principled, His laid down commandments and rules especially in the area of asking, must be diligently followed and obeyed accordingly for any one to receive the needed answers and blessings from Him.
As we adjust our minds to disturb God this year by coming into His presence with our needs, He wants us to realise that He is the only God Who has power and authority to change situations and circumstances (Isa. 45:5-6)
Today, we will in a brief moment see what God wants us to do.
At different times and generations, people had had needs in their lives. But, some, for the fact that they recognised the existence of the Almighty God and drew closer to Him in prayer with their needs, made the difference. They were not left disappointed. Eg. Hannah (1Sam. 1:9-18,20), Jabez (1Chro. 4:9-10), Blind Bartimeus and his friend (Matt. 20:29-34), The leper and the Centurion (Matt. 8:1-4,5-10,13), The two blind men (Matt. 9:27-31) etc. All these people had needs in their lives, they never closed their mouths. They asked and had their needs granted.
So, what are the needs in your life? Salvation from sin, Sanctification, Baptism with the Holy Ghost, Spiritual Gifts, Material Blessings, Financial Uplift, Healing, Children, Deliverance from Oppression, Promotion, Court cases to be cancelled, Accommodation, Husband, Wife, etc, God would not want you to close your mouth.
You should call upon Him and wait patiently for Him and you will never be disappointed (Matt. 7:7-11; 21:22; Jn. 14:13,14,16b; 16:24). Those that neglected His existence and His power to deliver, suffered for it.
Let us rise up to pray.
