MARRIAGE IS HONOURABLE

Marriage Is Honourable In All The Bed (Matrimonial) Undefiled (Heb. 13:4).

Marriage, “the act of one woman separating from her parents with consent of the later and being joined to one man (also separating from his parents), the two now living and sharing their lives together as necessary and accomplishing parts of each other; is a very strategic tradition or institution from God Himself, having definite purposes (cons. Gen. 1:26-27 & 2:18, 21-24).

This is the reason it is Honourable or highly regarded in all its aspects by the Lord, and has been so declared for all to observe.

Because of the fact that the Lord Himself instituted this coming-together of a man and a woman, their bed is declared undefiled, though they share it together.  This implies that the bed of the unmarried (man or woman) is counted defiled if that unmarried has any thing to do with the opposite sex on that bed.

If follows therefore that, if the bed of the unmarried be defiled by what is done with the opposite sex on it, then the body of the said unmarried is much more defiled by the same thing that defiled the bed, for the body is more sacred than the bed, in so far as the alter is more sacred than the gift on it (Matt. 23:18-19; 1Cor.. 6:18).  Little wonder that the apostle remarked.  “It is good for a man not to touch a woman, instead, let every man have his own wife, (so as to avoid the danger of defilement by touching a strange woman) (1Cor. 7:1-2).

What a lesson and warning to those bachelors and spinsters who visit one another and sit on the sacred beds of the opposite sex, or do say any such things that amount to.. defilement.
