MINSTERS, A SPECTACLE OF CHRIST’S LIFE AND MINISTRY

 (1COR. 4:10-13)

There are those who claim to have been called into ministry as apostles, prophets, evangelists and pastors, but who never bother to know what such positions entail.  They erroneously think that such positions are those of wearing of apparel, of feasting, dancing and rejoicing, excusing sin and satisfying the flesh.  They have been termed, “false apostles (ministers)” (2Cor. 11:13; 2Pet. 2:1-3).

However, true ministers are a spectacle of Christ’s life style, labour, suffering and ministry to the world angels and men (1Cor.4:9,10-13, 2Cor. 11:23 cp. 2Cor. 8:9; Jn. 9:4; Lk. 9:57-58; 1Pet. 2:21-23).  But, as stated earlier, many now are a spectacle to the world (not angels) of contrary life of ease, apparels and money-mongering.
