I want to know why the Diocesan Pastor is not directly involved in marriage committee processes

I want to know why the Diocesan Pastor is not directly involved in marriage committee processes especially at the Committee stage? This will make it easy for him to know the experiences and challenges people are going through so he can easily check mate the excesses of the Committee.

If wishes were horses, beggars would ride on it. The Diocesan office is so involved with several other responsibilities that makes it difficult to sit at the marriage committee. But you can always reach the Diocesan office if there are marriage matters that requires our attention.
